Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Updated: July, 2026.
Gift of Go may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always appear on our website and will apply to any new booking made after its effective date.
Please review these Terms carefully before making a reservation. They form a binding agreement between Gift of Go LLC, a Texas limited liability company with its principal office at 1321 Upland Dr., Unit 10502, Houston, Texas 77043, USA (“GOGO,” “we,” or “us”), and the person(s) purchasing our services (“you,” “Traveler,” or “Client”). The person making the reservation is responsible for ensuring that all participants are aware of and comply with these Terms and is liable for all payments due. By submitting payment or otherwise confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Key Terms
“Trip” means any Expedition, Journey, or Bespoke experience operated by GOGO.
“Traveler/Client” means any person purchasing or participating in a Trip.
“Force Majeure” refers to events beyond GOGO’s reasonable control that prevent or materially affect trip operation (see §16).
1) MINIMUM GROUP SIZE & CONFIRMATION
All non-Bespoke Expeditions are confirmed to operate with a minimum of four (4) travelers, unless the itinerary states otherwise. Trips may be cancelled if the minimum group size is not met or where circumstances reasonably prevent operation (including Force Majeure). If the minimum is not met, we may, at our discretion, offer a new date, a credit, operate with fewer travelers at a per-person supplement, or convert to a private itinerary at applicable pricing. Refunds, if any, are limited to recoverable amounts returned by Suppliers. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential costs (air/visas/insurance, etc.).
2) INCLUDED IN EXPEDITIONS, BESPOKE TRIPS & JOURNEYS
Each Trip includes the services and arrangements described in its itinerary: expedition leaders and support staff; ground transportation; accommodations; included meals; park or entrance fees and permits; scheduled activities; standard expedition equipment as listed; airport transfers to and from the first and last published city; and non-alcoholic beverages at included meals.
3) NOT INCLUDED IN EXPEDITIONS, BESPOKE TRIPS & JOURNEYS
Unless stated otherwise, the following are not included: international or internal airfare; passports or visas; border or reciprocity fees; departure taxes; excess-baggage charges; meals not listed as included; room service; alcoholic beverages; optional or unscheduled activities; personal expenses; communications; laundry; medical or evacuation costs; and gratuities.
4) SPECIAL REQUESTS
Special needs and requests — dietary, medical, or accommodation-related — should be communicated at the time of booking. We will make every reasonable effort to honor them; however, because of the remote nature of many GOGO Trips and the limited infrastructure in certain regions, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be met. Local resources, seasonal availability, and community-based accommodations may restrict our ability to provide certain foods, facilities, or arrangements.
5) ALTERATION IN ITINERARYS
GOGO trips are living journeys, shaped by the land, the season, and the communities we travel through. We may adjust a Trip before or during operation due to weather, safety, road/park closures, local conditions, or new opportunities (festivities, openings, new routes). Comparable substitutions may be made at our discretion and subject to supplier terms.
6) AIR TRANSPORTATION FOR ALL TRIPS
For all trips occurring in Minas Gerais, it is mandatory that you arrive at Aeroporto Internacional de Confins / Tancredo Neves on the initial date and time specified in your itinerary, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
GOGO cannot be held responsible for any delays that result from missed arrivals or missed pickups. In the event of a missed pickup, GOGO may, at its discretion, arrange for an alternative vehicle and personnel to collect you from the airport. Additional fees may apply.
If GOGO determines that it cannot delay its itinerary due to the participation of other travelers or due to logistical or cost-related consequences, the trip will continue as planned. In such cases, GOGO will arrange for the traveler to meet the group at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
7) BAGGAGE
From the designated meeting point until the final drop-off listed in your itinerary, baggage handling is provided as part of the Trip. Before that rendezvous (including air travel to Brazil) and after Trip completion, baggage remains your responsibility. Our expeditions traverse rough terrain and remote environments; normal wear (dust, dirt, scuffs) should be expected. Items left behind will be handled with reasonable efforts to return them (fees may apply). GOGO is not liable for loss, delay, or damage to baggage/personal effects outside the period described above, nor for normal wear, environmental conditions, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
8) PRICES AND ARRANGEMENTS
All prices are quoted per person, in U.S. dollars (USD), unless stated otherwise. Prices are based on double occupancy for pousadas and resorts, and on single occupancy for Journeys.
During wild camping, each traveler is provided their own tent. In refuges and homestays, room arrangements vary according to what is available locally. These are shared environments — not hotels — and travelers should expect to share rooms with other participants. By joining a GOGO Trip, you acknowledge and accept this variation as an integral part of the experience.
While we make every effort to maintain published prices, external factors such as exchange rates, taxes, or fuel costs may require adjustments. Promotional pricing is not retroactive.
If you request or require a private room in accommodations where such an arrangement is possible, a single-supplement charge will apply. Changes in group size after booking do not alter the per-person price unless agreed in writing.
GOGO’s pricing reflects the total cost of designing, organizing, and operating our Trips. We are not required to provide a detailed breakdown of individual supplier or operational costs.
9) CHILD POLICY
The minimum age for Expeditions is 25, unless traveling with a family member and approved by GOGO in writing. All travelers must be 18 years or older, unless otherwise agreed.
10) ACTIVE ELEMENTS & CONDUCT
To fully participate in a GOGO Trip, a reasonable level of physical fitness and emotional readiness is required. If you have any medical condition, limitation, or disability that could affect your participation — or that might pose a risk to yourself, other travelers, or our crew — you must inform GOGO before booking.
We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate special requirements and disability-related requests. However, if at our discretion we determine that a traveler’s health, condition, or circumstances could compromise their own safety, the safety of others, or the integrity of the Trip, GOGO reserves the right to deny or discontinue participation.
By confirming your booking, you affirm that you — and any person traveling with you — are fit to undertake the activities described in your itinerary, and that no physical or mental condition exists that could create a hazard to yourself or others.
GOGO also reserves the right to remove any traveler, at their own expense and without refund, whose behavior or condition — whether willful or unintentional — disrupts the Trip or diminishes the experience of other guests.
11) CLIENT INSURANCE
In order to participate in any of our trips, it is mandatory for travelers to obtain, provide, and maintain proof of valid travel insurance. The price of our trips does not include travel insurance. It is the responsibility of each traveler to purchase a travel insurance policy that provides coverage suitable for the nature of the activities included in the Expedition, Journeys and Bespoke Trips. Failure to provide proof of travel insurance may result in the traveler being denied participation without any right to a refund or credit.
12) STANDARD OF BEHAIVIOR
On every GOGO Trip, travelers are expected to maintain high standards of respect, integrity, and consideration toward fellow travelers, staff, and the communities that receive us. Our Expedition Leaders and staff have full discretion to remove, without refund or credit, any participant whose behavior or condition is deemed dangerous to themselves or others — including community members or crew. Removal may also occur, without refund or credit, if a traveler is believed to pose a safety risk, create a medical or behavioral problem, engage in illegal activity, or act in a way that undermines the integrity or experience of the Trip.
13) PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to obtain and maintain the necessary valid travel documents required for their travel, and to have them available at all times as required, including any documentation required by GOGO as per our Expedition Document Checklist. GOGO advises all travelers to check with the relevant government authority to determine the necessary documents required for their travel. Passports must also have sufficient blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps.
If a traveler fails to possess proper documentation, GOGO reserves the right to cancel the participation of that traveler without any liability for refund, payment, compensation, or credit of any kind. Any fines or costs incurred by GOGO due to improper documentation or noncompliance with applicable regulations will be the responsibility of the traveler. GOGO shall not be held responsible if a traveler is denied entry into a country due to noncompliance with the above-mentioned requirements.
14) RESERVATION AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Confirming a Booking
A booking is confirmed only after GOGO has received both:
• the payment due at the time of reservation, in cleared funds; and
• the signed Booking Confirmation and all applicable Participant Agreements.
Payment alone does not confirm a booking. Once these requirements have been completed, the booking is governed by the Booking Confirmation, these Terms and Conditions, the applicable Participant Agreements, and any amendments agreed to in writing.
Currency and Payment Methods
All prices and payments are in U.S. dollars (USD).
The non-refundable reservation deposit may be paid by credit card through Stripe. GOGO will absorb the standard credit-card processing fee associated with the reservation deposit. GOGO does not store full credit-card information.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all payments after the reservation deposit must be made by ACH transfer, wire transfer, or Wise to the account identified in the Booking Confirmation or applicable invoice.
Bank and Transfer Fees
The traveler is responsible for any sending-bank, intermediary-bank, transfer-platform, or currency-conversion fees associated with a payment.
A payment is considered complete only when GOGO has received the full amount due in U.S. dollars.
Payment Questions and Disputes
If a traveler believes that a payment or charge is incorrect, the traveler should notify GOGO in writing as soon as possible so that the matter can be reviewed and, whenever possible, resolved directly.
A chargeback or payment dispute is not a substitute for submitting a written cancellation in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy below. Nothing in this section limits any right that cannot legally be waived.
Final Payment and Missed Installments
The applicable payment schedule is set forth below. For Bespoke Trips, the specific installment amounts and payment dates will also be recorded in the Booking Confirmation.
The full balance of the Trip Price must be received no later than the applicable final payment deadline.
If a payment is not received by its stated due date, GOGO will provide written notice of the missed payment. Unless otherwise stated in the Booking Confirmation, the contracting traveler will have five (5) business days from the date of the notice to complete the payment.
If payment is not received within that period, GOGO may treat the booking as canceled by the traveler. The applicable cancellation fees and conditions will then apply.
Any extension of a payment deadline or modification to a payment schedule must be agreed to by GOGO in writing.

15) CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVELER AND REFUND POLICY
Submitting a Cancellation
All cancellations by a traveler must be submitted in writing to info@thegiftofgo.com.
The cancellation notice must identify the traveler or travelers whose participation is being canceled. Unless the notice expressly cancels the entire booking, the participation of the remaining travelers will continue.
A cancellation becomes effective on the date the written notice is received by GOGO. For purposes of this section, all deadlines are measured in calendar days before the scheduled first day of the Trip.
If GOGO cancels a booking because a missed payment was not completed within the cure period described in Section 14, the cancellation will become effective on the date that cure period expires.
This section applies only to cancellations initiated by the traveler or resulting from the traveler’s failure to satisfy the booking requirements. Cancellations initiated by GOGO and cancellations or material changes caused by Force Majeure are governed by the applicable provisions elsewhere in these Terms.
How Cancellation Fees Are Calculated
Cancellation fees apply separately to each traveler whose participation is canceled.
The applicable percentage is calculated using that traveler’s individual Trip Price, as stated in the Booking Confirmation. If the entire booking is canceled, the cancellation fee will be calculated for each traveler and added together.
The non-refundable reservation deposit is applied toward the applicable cancellation fee. It is not charged in addition to the cancellation fee.
If the payments received for a traveler exceed the applicable cancellation fee, GOGO will refund the excess amount. GOGO will provide a written calculation of the cancellation fee and any refund due, and will process the refund within thirty (30) days after the cancellation becomes effective.
If the payments received are less than the applicable cancellation fee, the traveler remains responsible for the unpaid balance of that fee, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
A partial cancellation does not automatically cancel the participation of the remaining travelers. Any effect that a reduction in group size may have on the price or arrangements for the remaining travelers will be governed by the Booking Confirmation and any written amendment agreed to by GOGO and the contracting traveler.

No-Shows, Late Arrivals, and Early Departure
No refund or credit will be provided when a traveler:
• fails to arrive for the Trip;
• arrives after the Trip has begun;
• voluntarily leaves before the scheduled end of the Trip;
• is unable to participate because they lack required travel documents or insurance;
• is removed from the Trip in accordance with these Terms; or
• chooses not to participate in an included activity, accommodation, meal, transfer, or other portion of the Trip.
Any additional transportation, lodging, staffing, or other costs resulting from a late arrival or early departure are the responsibility of the traveler.
This provision does not apply when GOGO is unable to provide a contracted service or when a refund is otherwise required by applicable law.
Basis for the Cancellation Fees
At the time a booking is made, the exact loss that GOGO may experience as a result of a future cancellation is impracticable or extremely difficult to determine precisely.
GOGO’s losses may include, without limitation:
• expedition design and internal planning time;
• limited capacity held exclusively for the traveler;
• the loss of an opportunity to accept another booking;
• guide, crew, driver, and staff allocations;
• transportation and vehicle commitments;
• accommodation reservations and guarantees;
• supplier deposits and advance payments;
• permits, equipment, and other trip-specific arrangements; and
• administrative and financial costs associated with modifying or canceling the booking.
These commitments increase as the departure date approaches. The tiered cancellation fees above are therefore intended as a reasonable estimate of the losses GOGO is likely to experience at each stage of the planning process and are not intended as a penalty.
Nothing in this section limits any refund right that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
16) FORCE MAJEURE
Force Majeure refers to any exceptional and unforeseeable circumstance beyond the reasonable control of GOGO or its suppliers, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with all due care. Such circumstances may include war or threat of war, riot, civil unrest, or terrorist activity (actual or threatened); industrial disputes; technical failures of transport, machinery, or equipment; power outages; natural or nuclear disasters; fire, flood, drought, or adverse weather; hazardous road, trail, river, or logistical conditions; land disputes; and pandemics, epidemics, or outbreaks of illness. If such an event causes the cancellation or material alteration of a trip, GOGO may, at its discretion, offer alternative travel arrangements of comparable quality and value when possible, or issue a travel credit equal to the value of the trip, less any amounts that cannot be recovered from suppliers. GOGO is not responsible for any additional or related costs incurred by the traveler, including but not limited to airfare, insurance, visas, or other personal travel arrangements.
17) HEALTH
By completing the required traveler information and insurance documentation during booking, you confirm that you are in suitable physical and mental condition to participate in the activities described in your itinerary, and that you have obtained all vaccinations and preventive measures required by the countries you will visit. We strongly recommend consulting your physician or a travel-medicine specialist for personalized medical advice before departure.
GOGO reserves the right to adjust any trip or activity, when necessary or advisable, in light of a traveler’s disclosed medical condition or ability, or in response to health and safety considerations that arise in the field. If you choose not to share relevant information about your health, vaccination status, or physical condition, we may not be able to fully accommodate you on all aspects of the trip.
Each traveler is responsible for obtaining, carrying, and presenting all health-related and government-mandated documentation required for travel, including vaccination records, testing certificates, or proof of insurance. It is your responsibility to remain informed of the current entry, health, and safety requirements of your destination, which may change with little notice.
18) CLAIMS AND REFUNDS
GOGO does not accept liability for any loss, damage, delay, or injury arising from your participation in a Trip, except where expressly stated in these Terms. Refunds, when applicable, will be provided only as described in this agreement and are subject to the relevant cancellation fees and conditions.
By joining a GOGO Trip, you acknowledge and accept that travel in remote and natural environments carries inherent risks, including accident, illness, injury, loss, or death. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Gift of Go LLC, its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates (“the GOGO Parties”) from any liability for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from your participation.
You further agree to indemnify and defend the GOGO Parties against any claim, demand, or expense — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — brought by any third party arising from your actions or participation in a Trip.
19) LIMITS ON GOGO’S RESPONSIBILITY
Travel with Gift of Go LLC (“GOGO”) involves participation in activities that may be hazardous. The traveler acknowledges that adventure travel and related activities carry inherent risks of illness, injury, or death, which may be caused by forces of nature, animals, accidents, negligence, or other causes beyond the control of GOGO. These risks are increased by the fact that such trips often occur in remote areas where medical care and evacuation services may be limited or delayed.
The traveler voluntarily assumes all such risks, both known and unknown, and agrees to take full responsibility for their own safety and well-being. By participating in a Trip, the traveler releases and forever discharges GOGO, its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors, and affiliates (collectively, the “GOGO Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to their participation, including but not limited to those resulting from the negligence of the GOGO Parties or from any defect in equipment.
The traveler further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the GOGO Parties from any claim or action brought by any third party as a result of the traveler’s acts, omissions, or participation in a Trip. The traveler understands and agrees that GOGO shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or death resulting from: acts of God or Force Majeure; war, civil unrest, or terrorism; strikes or labor disputes; mechanical failure; criminal activity; food or waterborne illness; transportation delays; or any other event or condition beyond the reasonable control of GOGO.
This release and assumption of risk shall be binding upon the traveler’s heirs, successors, assigns, and legal representatives.
20) PHOTOGRAPHS & VIDEOS
As per our Participant Agreement, GOGO reserves the right to capture and use any photograph or video taken during any travel activity or event, without obtaining prior written permission from individuals featured in the media. GOGO may use these photographs or videos in various media publications or materials produced, used, or contracted by GOGO, including but not limited to brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media, and others. Individuals who do not wish to have their photograph taken or used in such media should contact GOGO in writing at info@thegiftofgo.com and provide a photograph along with their intentions.
21) NO COPYING OR EDITING
All content on this website is protected by copyright laws and may not be modified, copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, displayed, transmitted, performed, licensed, used to create derivative works, transferred, sold, or distributed without our prior written consent. Framing or mirroring any material from this website on any other server or location is also prohibited. Any unauthorized use of such materials on any other website, computer environment, or elsewhere is strictly prohibited.
22) PRIVACY POLICY
At all times your information will be treated in accordance with GOGO’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement and can be viewed here.
23) SAVINGS CLAUSE
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the provision shall be severed from these Terms and Conditions, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of any provision in a particular jurisdiction shall not affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of such provision in any other jurisdiction or the validity, legality, or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms and Conditions.
24) GOVERNING LAW; VENUE; WAIVERS
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Exclusive venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
Both parties waive the right to a jury trial. To the fullest extent permitted by law, class, collective, or representative actions are waived, and all claims must be brought individually.
25) ENTIRE AGREEMENT; NOTICES
These Terms, together with your itinerary, booking confirmation, and Participant Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gift of Go LLC, superseding all prior discussions or representations.
